Taking off from Sondrestrom in mid-1980s in 50261. A McGuire airman TDY to Sondrestrom for 3 months took up photography and had several 22"x 18" mounted prints he wanted delivered to his wife at McGuire. They were too big to send APO. I delivered them for him. He ran up to the tower, snapped this of us taking off and sent it down to me on the next flight through Sondrestrom. Only picture I have of me flying.

My name is Ron Goodrow.I was an engineer with the 732nd KWRI(73-80') and the 300th at KCHS(80-82') Was also a pilot sim instructor with FSI for over 20 years at Savannah Gulfstream. I'm really amazed that neither the 732nd or 300th don't have a web site. Sure wish someone would start one up. I remember Steve Avery from working at FSI Savannah. Wish Steve good luck with the VA. Does anyone remember the famous 732nd promotion party at the McGuire Rod and Gun club? Our key note speaker was Maj. Jim Armstrong and our headline act was a distinguished lady called "Nitro" A bunch of boy scouts who attended the event were awarded merit badges that night. The base commander was also very impressed by the ceremonies. If there's anyone out there from either squadron I'd be glad to hear from you. Ron

I would like to hear from George Liley the crew chief that took 66-0144 to the bone yard.
I was crew chief at Charleston AFB in 1969 on 66-0144. Saw the picture of her on the way to boneyard and almost cried. She was one great aircraft and I was proud to work on her.

Retired US Park Ranger on the first search flight into Mt. Inner Constance, Olympic National Park: March, 1975. Cadre of Rangers were assigned with PJ's on 10 day rotation doing body recoverys and flight recorder recovery. Several years later, hiker recovered dog tags from crash scene and turned them over to me. I returned them to next of kin thru McChord AFB. Pitot tube was recovered and is displayed at Dosewallips Ranger Station, Olympic Nat'l Park.

It was very interesting to revisit my old friend 66-0166. As a nav reservist, I flew 60166 to Japan and what I remember most was the controller that referred to us as "Sitz zero one Sitz Sitz. I still laugh about the mis-pronunciation.

I was a C141 A/B/C crew chief at Travis, Robbins and Wright-Patt AFB. I was forced into retirement in 2004 for medical reasons and not a day goes by that I don't wish I was back out on that flight line. The picture was taken in August down in Antarctica.

I grew up an Air Force brat. We flew Space A from Rhein-Main in 1975 on a C-141. I was 5 at the but can not forget the experience. That is the sickest I think I have ever been. I can almost still smell the inside of the aircraft. I love your site. Great work.
